Welcome!
Welcome, welcome to my world. I have just entered yours, so I thought it appropriate
to welcome you to mine, although I'm not quite sure anymore which is which?
Anyway, I'm happy to be here. I am Malk, I am red hot kitchen... But I'm no
longer waiting. I'm getting everything I expected, and none of it at all, and
much more.
To be honest, I did not expect to meet so many of you - all of you - here. To
see that all of you came to welcome me... This is really touching. Little Snowwhite.
The little match girl. The little mermaid. (Did it ever occur to you that you
are all called little', although you're much larger than life? Remind
me of writing something about Disney sometime.) Sheherazade. Cinderella. Aladdin.
Sinbad. (What a nice name!) Even the musicians of Bremen! The piper of Hamlin.
Sleeping Beauty. Little red riding hood. The frog king. Rumpelstiltskin. The
snow queen - I humbly bow to your majesty. BTW, my sire and I, the two of us
know
how to spell the word ETERNITY with the broken pieces of the mirror now.
I will try and learn from you as much as I can. I tried to learn from humans
and vampires already, but they're not really good teachers. Many of them just
lack the imagination to be. So it's up to you to teach me all the nice things,
the fairy-tale-like, gentle, beautiful things, like dancing yourself to death
in red hot shoes, tearing yourself in two because someone knows your name, how
to become foam on the waves of the sea because you're (not) loved back by someone.
The sort of thing you would tell your child as a bedtime story.
I
will try and do my best to be a good disciple. And I will be so bold as to ask
a favour of you: if you meet Katinka behind the mirror, please take good care
of her, for she was once I.
P.S. We're not alone anymore, ja!
